Rainforests circle the globe for twenty degrees of latitude on both sides of the equator. In that __48_____

Soal no 48 termasuk jenis pertanyaan fungsi kata. Cara menjawab soal jenis itu adalah : lihat sebelum ——- atau sesudah ——-. sebenarnya ada lima pasangan yang menanyakan soal seperti itu yaitu :
1. adjective, Noun
2. verb, adverb
3. adverb, verb
4. adverb, adjective
5. verb, noun
Soala no 48 adalah pola adverb, adjective ( no 4 ).
narrow adalah adjective pasangannya adalah adverb ( adverb of manner ) umumnya ditambah ly, jadi jawabannya adalah relatively. Tapi ingat pola diatas ( no 2 dan 3 ) tidak berlaku kalau verbsnya adalah : taste, sound, feel, make, smell, become, look, seem.

Cloze procedure ( kalimat rumpang ) merupakan kendala tersendiri bagi siswa SMA, karena rata-rata di sekolah mereka tak terlatih dengan jenis soal tersebut, bahkan gurupun banyak yang tidak memberikan soal-soal jenis itu. Disinilah siswa harus mengetahui dan banyak berlatih tentang kalimat rumpang tersebut.
